One of the many things we love about rap star Cardi B is her honesty - she's not afraid to say, well, anything really.
She told SiriusXM’s Shade45 exactly what she'll be earning from her two Coachella performances.
She releaved she was booked 6 months ago, when she wasn't as much of a sensation as she is now.
She'll receive $70,000 per weekend performance, but Cardi revealed her stage set will cost her much more than that:
"I have to invest so much money on my stage set, my own money that I got to go to Wells Fargo and write a check, it’s crazy, like almost 300 thou[sand] … it’s an investment. You gotta take that to the chair, but it’s like dammit. Right after I just finished paying my damn taxes.”
It's expected the artist will lose approximately $160,000, but she said it's an "investment".
It's worth noting that her sets are expected to last 35 minutes.
Cardi started 10-hour rehearsals for her performance yesterday. She publicly announced her pregnancy on SNL last weekend. On Monday, Longitude confirmed she will not be performing at the festival this year as a result.
