The GAA broadcaster is following in the footsteps of his RTÉ colleague Des Cahill, who made it to Week 10 last season.
The Sun reports BoyleSports has quoted Marty as a 3/1 top pick to make it to the final.
The 59 year old says he doesn't really know how to dance but he's delighted for the opportunity to do something "way outside" his comfort zone.
He appeared on The Late Late Show last night alongside fellow contestant Erin McGregor, who's a fitness model and Conor McGregor's sister.
The rest of the line-up includes broadcaster and author Maia Dunphy, comedian and actress Deirdre O’Kane, rugby player Tomás O’Leary, broadcaster and publisher Norah Casey, Cork camogie player Anna Geary, musician and Nathan Carter's brother Jake Carter, former World 50km Race Walking Champion Rob Heffernan, model and former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh, and comedian and broadcaster Bernard O’Shea.
