The band were back on home soil for their Joshua Tree tour, performing the iconic 1987 album in full.
Bono promised the crowd 'an epic night of rock and roll' and he didn't disappoint.
During Where The Streets Have No Name, a flyover was performed leaving tricolour smoke hanging in the sky.
The lads belted out I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With or Without You, and some hits not on the album, including One, Elevation and Vertigo.
There was a touching tribute to Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, who died when Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116 crashed off the Mayo coast in March.
Her image was shown on a 200 foot screen during a video piece that honoured groundbreaking women.
It was a night to remember for the thousands of fans packed into GAA HQ.
Politicans and celebrities were also out in force to see their favourite Irish band.
President Michael D. Higgins, Colin Farrell, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Imelda May and Glen Hansard were all spotted rocking out to U2!
