In an emotional interview with Beats 1's Ebro Darden, the singer revealed everyone's been saying her name wrong.

Ariana broke down at one point on the Apple Music show while talking about her new song, Get Well Soon.

She explained that it was written after the Manchester bombing, and it's about people being there for each other and "helping each other through scary times and anxiety".

However, during a more lighthearted part of the conversation, Ebro asked the 25 year old about marrying Pete Davidson.

Ariana said she'd like to take Pete Davidson's name once they tie the knot, but professionally she'd like to be known as Ariana.

And that's when she announced that we've all been pronouncing her second name incorrectly - it's 'Grandey', not 'Grahn-day'.

Ariana explained that her grandfather, who was Italian, pronounced it as 'Grandey' when he moved to America to "fit in".

But her brother changed it to 'Grahn-day':

"Well, my brother kind of changed it to 'Grahn-day' because like 'Grandey' was kind of like the, like, I guess Americanised version of it, you know? It made it more, like, chill whatever."

"I grew up saying 'Grandey' and I think of my grandpa and I wish I said 'Grandey' more."
