Ariana Grande recently tweeted that there would be new music out soon that's directly related to her ex fiancé Pete Davidson. She wants everyone to know that it is definitely not a diss track & it is quite the opposite. Last night her mother Joan tweeted about the song 'Thank u, next' which came out Saturday night, just minutes before Saturday Night Live. Pete appeared on the American TV Show last night & made jokes about their relationship in an ad for the show, prompting Ariana to reply on Twitter.
Congratulations darling... amazing song!!!

Following the release of Ariana's album Sweetener back in August, her new single 'thank u, next' references her ex-boyfriends Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, Pete Davidson, and the late Mac Miller.
The lyrics include
The lyrics include "Thought I'd end up with Sean, but he wasn't a match. Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh. Even almost got married, and for Pete, I'm so thankful. Wish I could say 'thank you' to Malcolm 'Cause he was an angel."
Ariana & Pete called off their engagement last month, after just being engaged for three months. You can read more about their split here.
Sadly, her ex Mac Miller (aka Malcolm) passed away in September of this year. You can see Ariana's heartbreaking tribute to him here.
You can have a listen to the new track here (but bear in mind there is a curse word in the chorus):
The song is a sincere thank you to her ex-boyfriends for all teaching her valuable lessons. "One taught me love / One taught me patience / One taught me pain / Now, I'm so amazing / I've loved and I've lost."
'Thank u, next' will also be the title of her next album. There is no sign of a release date just yet.
