Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe says additional supports are being examined.
Additional supports for businesses that have been impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, are being considered, according to Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe
The announcement comes after business lobby & representative group, Ibec, criticised the Government for not doing enough to assist businesses through the crisis.
They want to see a package of cashflow and liquidity measures rather than just low-interest loans and the wage subsidy scheme.
Mr. Donohoe said that he along with the Business Minister are looking at what other measures may be necessary to help businesses survive.
''Myself and Minister Humphreys are considering additional measures that we believe may be necessary, to supply additional lending and credit directly to companies across the coming weeks'', he said today.
''With the consent of Government, we hope to be able to outline additional measures that might be needed in that area''.
