They’ve all received a free marketing package worth €2k from iRadio.

After receiving hundreds of entries from businesses all across Ireland, 20 have today been chosen as shared winners of iRadio’s €40K iGrant prize.

The successful applicants were selected by an independent expert judging panel including former international Ireland rugby player and renowned businessman Jamie Heaslip.

Each iGrant recipient will receive a €2k advertising package from iRadio.

Initially, when the iGrant competition was announced in February it was earmarked as a €20k prize to be awarded to one business.

However, following the devastating impact of Covid-19 on the economic landscape in Ireland, the decision was made to double the prize money and to split it among more applicants. With the intention of helping as many businesses as possible restart their operations post-pandemic.

”Across the last number of months, we’ve seen massive innovations in local business. bars and restaurants who have repurposed themselves as takeaways, food packaging distributors producing vital PPE live music venues streaming gigs online”, said iRadio CEO Mark Cunning.

”As we take our first steps towards recovery it’s vital that local business receives support. In awarding the iGrant to 20 businesses, I’m delighted iRadio is playing a part in helping businesses get back on their feet.

”Marketing is an essential part of any business plan and with iRadio’s iGrant, our 20 selected businesses will work with our account managers, our creative department and commercial production on messaging for their business.”

Assisting businesses who applied for the grant but were ultimately unsuccessful is still at the forefront of our minds, and those who wish to avail of our advertising services are encouraged to contact [email protected].

We are also excited to announce that the iGrant competition will be running again in 2021.
