With only three days to wait for the first two episodes of Just Like That, the Sex in The City reboots, Chris North, aka Mr Big, has revealed his thoughts about the Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall feud.
Speaking with The Guardian about the new series, Chris shared positive memories with both of his co-stars but said of Kim: “I have absolutely no idea what her thinking is or her emotions.”
He added: “I do know that I’m very close with SJ, and [Kim’s] descriptions of her don’t even come close. I liked [Kim], I thought she was marvellous in the show, and some people move on for their own reasons. I don’t know what hers were.
“I just wish that whole thing had never happened because it was sad and uncomfortable.”
Fan’s of Sex in the City will recall that Kim Cattrall refused to return as the very popular character Samantha Jones for the reboot after a very public feud with her former co-star.
SJP seemed to try and mend the friendship back in 2017 when Kim’s brother Christopher Cattrall passed away by posting the following on social media “Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother”.
Kim replied publicly, “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time.”
In the new series there'll be 10 half-hour episodes in the series. Insider noted that "rather than a new season of the original series, the reboot is being described as a 'new chapter entirely."
And Just Like That lands on Sky Comedy and NOW TV December 9.
