Netflix has confirmed the show has been renewed for a second series.
Star and creator of the hit show, Ricky Gervais said:
“I have never had a reaction like this before. It’s been insane. And heart-warming."
"But now I have to make sure the second season is even better so I’ll probably have to work much harder than usual. Annoying really.”
After Life tells the story of Tony, who's enjoyed an all-too-perfect life. However, after his wife Lisa suddenly passes away, Tony changes.
He decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He sees it as a superpower — not caring about himself or anyone else.
However, it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.
The new season of After Life will be here in 2020, according to Variety.
