She may not have won at the Golden Globes last night (losing out to Isabelle Huppert) but Ruth Negga was winning in every other department as she looked absolutely stunning at the glitzy ceremony.

Ruth was born Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to her Irish mother, Norra, and her Ethiopian father. She was nominated at the Globes for best actress in a Motion Picture - Drama.

Hollywood legend Meryl Streep also mentioned Ruth in a speech where she spoke of the diversity in the room. During the speech she very nearly said Ruth was raised in London, but corrected quickly!
