Roll on 28 February! The Oscar nominations list was revealed today. Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for Best Actress for her role in 'Brooklyn', which was also nominated for Best Picture! Dublin born Director Lenny Abrahamson has been nominated for Best Director for the film 'Room'. That too has been nominated in the Best Picture Category! 'Room' has also been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, the book was written by Dublin woman Emma Donoghue.

The bookies are placing Leo Di Caprio as the firm favourite to win Best Actor, with 1/8 odds! Currently Saoirse Ronan is second favourite to land Best Actress, behind the favourite Brie Larson. No matter what happens, the Irish will surely paint L.A green on the night!
