It'll have a similar format to the Eurovision contest.
The US are getting their own Eurovision-type competition.
It'll be a spin-off show: the American Song Contest.
Eurovision announced the news yesterday after the NBC secured the broadcasting rights.
And they said that the competition will kick off next year.
The contest will see performers from all 50 states, five US territories and Washington D.C battle it out to win the country’s vote for ‘Best Original Song’.
Like the original, it'll have a series of qualifying rounds, semi-finals and an ultimate Grand Final.
A solo artist, duo, DJ or band will be chosen to represent each US territory.
Meanwhile, the Eurovision Song Contest turns 65 this year!
It begins next Tuesday, and the final will take place on the 22nd of May in the Netherlands.
Lesley Roy will represent Ireland, performing Maps at the Eurovision Semi-Final on May 18th.
She was due to perform last year but missed out due to the pandemic.
