Might be early to be thinking about Christmas, but how ideal would it be if it's out for December??

According to actor Kenan Thompson, the reboot of the film 'Home Alone' could coming to Disney plus this year.

Kenan, who people may know from the show 'Kenan and Kel' - will star in the reboot and gave details on it while speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

He said "It was a long shoot" and that it got shut down because of Covid-19.

But he also says he thinks they're getting very close to finishing it.

While there is no official release date yet, Kenan gives hope it may be with us sometime this year.

Home Alone was first released in 1990 and tells the story of eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left at home while his family head on a trip to Paris.

While at first Kevin is excited about being in an empty house, he gets the shock of his life when two con men attempt to rob it right under his nose.

A successful sequel followed in 1992.

Film insiders told The Hollywood Reporter that the new movie will be somewhat similar to the Home Alone franchise, but it'll  have a completely different title.

The new storyline will see a wife and husband who, in order to save their home from financial ruin, go to war with a kid (Max) who has stolen a priceless heirloom."

Max is said to be a mischievous nine-year-old boy who outsmarts the adults around him.

He does sound very much like Kevin McCallister!
