Gavin James said he's looking forward to getting back to performing and that he "can't wait" to see the other acts.
3,500 people will attend the gig next Saturday at Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham, which has a pre-pandemic capacity of 23,000.
Concert goers will have to pass a rapid antigen test before entering.
A host of Irish acts including Gavin James, Denise Chaila and Wild Youth, will be performing at the pilot event.
500 free tickets had been set aside for frontline healthcare workers.
TD Catherine Martin said it was "gesture of thanks for their hard work and dedication during the pandemic."
It's Ireland’s first music festival in almost 16 months.
