Italy took home top spot after a landslide popular vote result!
The final of this year's Eurovision song contest took place last night.
Italy were crowned the winners with their song 'Zitti E Buoni'.
It was performed by group Maneskin, who are a popular band in Italy.
It claimed victory with 524 points ahead of France and Switzerland.
France were close to winning several times.
While Switzerland had been in a good position after the panel voting.
But the popularity of Italy's group with the public pushed them well in the lead.
The UK suffered fair embarrassment receiving no points from either the panel or the public.
But their entry James Newman took it fairly well considering:
And yes, that is John Newman's brother!
A crowd of more than 3,000 were in attendance in Rotterdam for the final.
Unfortunately Ireland wasn't in the mix after Lesley Roy didn't make it through the semi finals on Tuesday.
She performed the song 'Maps'.
It was written and produced by Lesley alongside producer Lukas Hällgren and Emilie Eriksson.
