'Derry Girls' star Nicola Coughlan has confirmed the third season of Derry Girls will begin filming this year.
The Galway native, who plays Clare Devlin in the show, shared the news on Twitter.
Production for the upcoming season was postponed due to the pandemic.
The star has been keeping busy recently having starred in the Netflix series 'Bridgerton', which also recently confirmed a second season.
Derry Girls follows a group of teenagers growing up in Derry during the Troubles in the 1990s, where they attend an all-girls Catholic school.
The second season wrapped up in 2019 and more episodes of the show were commissioned immediately.
