It follows the singer's court testimony last month.

Britney Spears' court-appointed lawyer has asked to resign from his role.

Samuel D Ingham has represented the singer since she was placed under a conservatorship in 2008.

In a short court filing on Tuesday, Ingham said he'd to resign as soon as the court could appoint Spears another lawyer.

The law firm, Loeb & Loeb, which had been working with Ingham, also said they intended to resign.

In dramatic court testimony last month, Britney said she wanted to chose her own legal team.

Afterwards, #FreeBritney started trending on twitter.

And it's reported that a number of stars want to launch a legal fund to help the star:

It comes after the star's manager Larry Rudolph stepped down yesterday after being with Britney since 1995.

Spears told an LA Court in an early court sitting, “it is my wish and dream for all of this to end. I want my life back.”

Britney’s father Jamie Spears currently holds power over her finances, her relationship with her children and who she sees and doesn’t see.
