"They'll be able to put their flirting to the test"
Hit TV show 'First Dates' is getting a new series in 2021 and this time its a teen spin-off.
The Channel 4 dating show is launching a 6 part series in a new location.
Teens between the age of 16-19 year olds will take part in the hope of finding love.
There will also be a change of location as the show has found a new home in Manchester.
With most teens using Tinder and Bumble as a form of dating, the show claims it will give teens the opportunity to "put their phones in their pocket, escape from the pressures of social media and talk face-to-face with a potential match."
According to Tyla, the show synopsis reads:
"They'll be able to put their flirting to the test, but most importantly, take a journey of self-discovery.
"Through their own experiences and viewpoints, the teens will explore who they are, who they want to be, and what it takes to make the perfect connection with another person."
Don't worry, there will be some familiar faces as maître d'hôtel Fred Sirieix returns to the show.
Fred said:
"We're very excited to be opening the doors of our brand-new restaurant in Manchester to a clientele we've not served before - teens
"We'll be creating a warm and welcoming space for them to meet new people and hopefully make a connection.
"Most importantly, we will be looking after them like our own and will provide a space where they can just be themselves without any distractions from the outside world, or their phones! It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait to get started!"
