We all have that *one* song that still rings in our ears after the festive season.

From Mariah Carey to the Shakin' Stephens, we've put together 10 songs you'll still be humming in the new year.

10. Jackson 5- I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus

The Jackson 5 tell the tale of what they saw their mommy doing on Christmas eve..

It's one that comes up every year and you just can't help repeated that first line in your head, over and over and over and over and over and over...

9. John Lennon- Happy Christmas (War is Over)

John Lennon's Christmas song has a much deeper meaning to it, as it was part of an international multimedia campaign launched by John and his wife in December 1969.

They released Happy Christmas (War is Over) at the height of the counterculture movement and protests against America's involvement in the Vietnam War.

All of that - and it's also awfully catchy!

8. Ariana Grande - Santa Tell Me

Even the most staunch traditionalist will have to admit, this one is an earworm.

The more recent banger from Ariana Grande will have you practicing your best falsetto voice!

7. Justin Bieber- Mistletoe

Speaking of more recent festive bangers...

The pop singer released this song 11 years ago, and it currently has 462 million views on YouTube.

Like or loath young JB, you have to admit this one has a worthy spot on any Christmas playlist.

6. Jona Lewie- Stop the Cavalry

It's the trumpets.

5. Eartha Kitt- Santa Baby

Eartha outlines all her Christmas wishes, encouraging Santa down the chimney, a Christmas classic.

Famously also sung by Marilyn Monroe - it'll have you googling what on earth a sable is anyway!

4. Shakin' Stevens- Merry Christmas Everyone

Shakin' Stevens gets the Christmas party mood going, with this upbeat song backed by jingle bells.

3. Band Aid- Do they know it's Christmas

Band aid, made up of 40 artists, released this hit Christmas song to raise money for the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia.

This song will definitely be stuck in your head after Christmas, but remembered for helping those in need.

2. Wham!- Last Christmas

The best Christmas tune for all the heartbroken singletons in the month of December.

1. Mariah Carey- All I want for Christmas is you

All I want for Christmas is to have this song out of my head by February (at least).

Mariah has cemented this tune as 'THE' Christmas song over the past decades - and tbh, we're here for it.
