As Britney continues her battle against her conservatorship, her longtime manager has resigned.
Larry Rudolph has been Britney Spears' manager since 1995 and today announced he will no longer be in the role.
Rudolph said in a statement that, "earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire."
"As her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed."
In the letter penned to her conservatorship, Rudolph claimed Britney wanted to take a work hiatus in 2019 and he hasn't talked to her since.
The pop queen has been in all the headlines recently as she battled to end the conservatorship her father placed on her back in 2007.
Spears told an LA Court in an earlier sitting, "it is my wish and dream for all of this to end. I want my life back."
Britney's father Jamie Spears currently holds power over her finances, her relationship with her children and who she sees and doesn't see.
A movement has been trending on social media to #FreeBritney and celebrities have been vocal in their support, including Miley Cyrus in a performance at the weekend:
Larry Rudloph added, "I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been."
The case is ongoing in the Los Angeles Superior Court, with the next court date set for July 14th.
