The Oscar noms have been released and there's plenty of Irish interest!
First and foremost, in the Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category, Irish - Ethiopian actress Ruth Negga has been nominated! Amazing! She's nominated for her role in 'Loving' alongside A-List names Isabelle Huppert, Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep & Emma Stone.
Also, Dublin's Consolata Boyle was nominated for her costume design work on the film Florence Foster Jenkins. More Irish interest comes from The Lobster which was nominated for Best Original Screenplay. It looks like La La Land will sweep the boards after it landed 14.. yes FOURTEEN nominations!
The Oscars will be broadcast on Feb. 26th
