Almost one in three frontline workers are still waiting on their €1,000 pandemic bonuses.

Some agency nurses and other non-HSE front line workers will have to wait until December to receive their pandemic bonus.

So far 123,000 people have received the benefit, but many non-HSE staff have been waiting over 8 months for their payment.

The Government promised the €1,000 payment to all frontline workers back in January.

National HR Director with the HSE, Anne Marie Hoey, says the Executive has a lack of information about these workers which is causing a delay:

“When we have that level of detail, we will be able to make the payment to the agency and they in turn will pay the staff members.

“It’s just that gap that we don’t have that direct relationship on our payroll system with those staff.”
