‘Our hearts are heavy but are spirits are strong.’

The funeral of 48 year old James O’Flaherty will take place in Derrybeg at 11am while Catherine O’Donnell and her 13-year old son James Monaghan will be buried in Creeslough later this afternoon.

It follows two funerals that took place yesterday in the small Donegal village.

Fr John Joe Duffy told mourners yesterday that the community is united in grief.

‘It is together that we will make the journey and travel that journey going forward, supporting each other as so many people have been doing, our entire community is hurting, our hearts are heavy but are spirits are strong.’
