Google are the first major company to ask staff to continue working from home until January 2022.
Workers will have to honour their contracts if an employer asks them to return to the office later this month.
The phased return will begin from September 20th under the governments new roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions.
Google told its Dublin staff today that it’s delaying its office reopening from October to January 2022.

Tens of thousands of people have been working from home through the pandemic.
According to Tanaiste Leo Varadkar, anyone who isn't comfortable returning to the office will have little option legally.
