The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today announced there have 783 new confirmed cases of Covid-19.
It's the highest number of cases reported since 20th February.
It marks a significant spike in case numbers, with 589 confirmed yesterday.
It's also been reported that 73 people are in hospital with the disease today, with 20 in intensive care.
The reporting of the numbers of deaths has been disrupted over the past number of weeks due to the HSE Cyber attack, but it's been reported that Deputy CMO Dr Ronan Glynn said there had been 12 deaths in June, and one so far in July.
Meanwhile, the Tánaiste has said the State can't wait for herd immunity to open indoor dining.
Opposition parties have strongly criticised the rules around indoor dining during a debate on the legislation in the Dáil.
Despite criticism of how the new system will work it's likely to be approved by TDs tonight.
