Twitter says staff can work from home "forever" if they want.

The social media company says it's unlikely to open its offices before September, and that many of its employees can work from home permanently even after lockdown.

The American company was one of the first to move staff out of its offices to work from home at the start of the crisis. Now, it says they can continue to work from home if the employee's role and situation allows.

Twitter currently employs around 200 people at its Dublin office.

Business Minister Heather Humphreys says this move from the social media giant is a sign that we can all adapt to the impact of Covid-19. Twitter says it will be bringing in some "additional precautions" for staff who want to return to its offices, when it's safe to do so.
