90,646 tests have been carried out, according to the Dept of Health.
A further 41 people have lost their lives to Covid-19 in Ireland today, bringing the total number of people who have died from the virus here to 406.
Of those who died, 36 were in the east, four in the west, and one in the south of the country.
The deaths included 16 females and 25 males, the median age of those who died was 85 and 31 had underlying health conditions.
Meanwhile an additional 548 cases have been confirmed by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan - along with 284 positive sampes from German test centre, meaning there is 832 new cases of the virus in the Republic.
11,479 people have now been diagnosed with the coronavirus here.
The Department of Health has confirmed 90,646 tests have been carried out.
