Let’s face it, tickets to see a big headliner play a gig in Ireland are often astronomically priced.

But there’s some hope for Coldplay fans, after the band announced two gigs for August 29th and 30th 2024.

Fans of the band will have a chance to get their hands on a limited number of what are known as ‘Infinity Tickets’.

What’s an Infinity Ticket?

Essentially, it’s just a cheaper pass for people who can’t afford the higher prices typically seen for gigs these days.

For the Coldplay concerts in Croke Park next year, Infinity tickets are set to be priced at around €20 each, and must be bought in pairs.

The only downside is that you’re not able to choose exactly where you’re sitting.

Your Infinity ticket could have you right at the front or way down the back – so it’s a bit of a gamble if you’re determined to be seated somewhere specific.

MCD, the promoter running the gigs, said:

“Coldplay have also confirmed they will make a limited number of Infinity Tickets available for the shows at a later date. Infinity Tickets are released for every Coldplay show to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour accessible to fans for an affordable price.

“They will cost the equivalent of €20 per ticket. They are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser, and must be bought in pairs (which will be located next to each other).”

How do I get an Infinity Ticket?

That’s a little less clear unfortunately.

It’s a bit too early in the process to tell – we just know they’ll be made available at a later date, and more details will be published closer to the time.

Keep your eyes peeled!
