Will you be heading to a panto this year?

The Gaiety Panto for this year had been announced.
‘The Jungle Book’ is coming to the iconic Dublin theatre from November 27th to January 8th. The Gaiety Panto dates back as far as 1873 and has become a much-loved Christmas tradition for many people in Ireland.
This year, panto-goers will follow the story of Mowgli on his adventures throughout the jungle will his jungle friends as he tries to escape the evil tiger Shere Khan. This year’s cast includes Ifraz Niazi as Mowgli, Nicholas Grennell as Shere Khan and the legendary Gaiety Panto Dame Joe Conlan as Nanny Nincompoop.
Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and start at €21.
The Dublin theatre was forced to cancel its panto last year before its run ended due to Covid-19.
Writer and producer Daryn Crosbie said he’s buzzing to add some Irish twists to the well-known story:
‘This is the first time The Jungle Book has ever been done in Ireland. We’ve panto-fied it like always”.
