If you ever feel like you’ve made a bad decision, spare a thought for these drivers.

Two men have been arrested after a failed attempt to avoid a Garda checkpoint.

The incident happened in Calverstown, Co. Kildare when Naas Roads Policing Unit encountered two cars ‘speeding towards the town’.

Gardaí report the pair of drivers, both in Lexus is200’s, attempted to evade the checkpoint, resulting in them colliding with each other.

Both drivers were arrested as a result, with both cars seized.

Gardaí have reiterated their message for motorists to slow down.

Naas Roads Policing Unit were carrying out a checkpoint in Calverstown when they saw these two cars speeding towards the town.

They attempted to avoid the checkpoint and collided with each other.
