A new study has found 85% of people experience worse air quality in their homes than they do outdoors for more than 6 months of the year.

The report from Dyson found Ireland ranked 23rd in the countries they surveyed when it comes to the quality of our clean air.

Ireland has higher levels than the US, with indoor pollution levels at their highest in the evening, between 7pm to 11pm.

Fast Company reports that Dyson released its first report on global air quality today.

The company collected that data by using information gathered from the more than 2.5 million air purifiers in homes around the world.

Ken Armstrong is the Head of Air Quality Research at Dyson has revealed some of the biggest pollutants in our homes.

Wood burning stoves, central heating, gas cookers and even air fresheners are some of the central pollutants indoors.

Household air pollution was responsible for an estimated 3.2 million deaths worldwide in 2020.
