Garda investigations are continuing in Clonmel following Friday night’s tragic car crash which claimed four lives.

The victims were named yesterday as Nicole Murphy, 18, from Ballypatrick, Zoey Coffey, 18, from Kilsheelan, Grace McSweeney, 18, and her 24-year-old brother Luke McSweeney, from Clonmel.

The three young women had just received their Leaving Cert results and were on their way to meet friends for a planned celebration.

A vigil will be held this evening in Clonmel following the tragic crash in the town which claimed 4 young lives.

Presentation Secondary School Principal Michael O’Loughlin says “a great day of celebration is now replaced by unbearable grief and a great sense of loss.”

Mr O’Loughlin says,  the main focus now is to support all students affected by the tragedy.
